My story begins in the small town of Abejales, Venezuela where I was born and raised. It was there, at the age of 14, that I set in motion my childhood dream of becoming an actor when I stepped into the world of modeling.
As a model, I had the incredible opportunity to build my profession by representing world-renowned brands such as Oscar de la Renta, Cavalli, Dolce & Gabbana, and Emporio Armani. These experiences enabled me to build my professional networks, grow my industry knowledge and establish my brand in the fashion and entertainment industry ultimately culminating in my being named Mr. Venezuela in 2012 and in the launch of my own self-titled clothing line, JESSUSZAMBRANO, a business I managed from 2012 until 2019. During that period I also began to build my acting career, starring in a number of film and stage productions across Latin America that only further cemented my interest in purusing acting as my primary passion.
While I formed many new relationships throughout the early days of my careeer, my relationship with “Buena Voluntad Venezuela – Goodwill” was among my most important and where I have the great privilege of serving as a Goodwill ambassador. In this capacity, I advocated and lent my support for its mission to provide access to education and employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities and in “changing lives with the power of work”.
While tremendously grateful for the opportunities that I had been given in modeling, my heart and passion was still in film and acting. I knew the next step on my journey would be to build my experience and acting career in the United States. So, in pursuit of that dream, I moved to New York City in 2014 to study acting at “The Neighborhood Playhouse School of Theatre”.
Today, with the knowledge and experiences I have gained, and with your support, I am embarking on my most ambitious project - the launch of my independent film, "Greencard". My vision for this project is that its message of hope, humanity and forgiveness resonates with people of all backgrounds who believe that our shared hope for a better tomorrow is more unifying and enduring than the systems and borders that separate us.
